Entry qualification

Entry qualifications (EQ) offer companies the opportunity to get to know young people who have not yet been placed in an apprenticeship during a subsidized internship. Ideally, they can be taken on as trainees.

One Entry qualification is an internship subject to social insurance contributions for young people who have not yet been placed in training and lasts between 4 and 12 months. A subsidy for internship remuneration and a lump sum for social security contributions can be applied for via the employment agency or job center. The advantage for companies is that entry-level qualifications can also be used to fill vacant training positions. There is no obligation to take on trainees at the end of the introductory training. In addition, disadvantaged young people are given the opportunity to get to know the relevant training content and demonstrate their skills. During the EQ, free support services from the Assisted training (AsA), for example for language courses or socio-educational support.

Contact for interested companies is the Employer service. On the DIHK website there is a Entry qualification contract available.
